Mascot Houseboats

Mascot Houseboat has a striking atmosphere, with Kashmiri handicrafts and beautiful hand-carved furniture throughout. Our boat had four rooms, plus a huge dining area and lobby. We spent two nights there and loved the experience. The view over Nigeen lake was amazing, the staff were very friendly, and the food was delicious.

The peaceful setting on Nigeen lake has amazing views. This is one of Srinagar's most premium houseboats, and the service was impeccable, with our needs taken care of. The in-house chef made tremendous dishes, and you can try every Kashmiri delicacy here. It really does make you feel like royalty.

I was struck by the houseboat's carved woodwork, with detailed work on the walls and ceiling. Each carving and art piece felt chosen to share a Kashmirian story and showcase local talent. The place was impeccably clean, meeting and exceeding international standards, and the owners and staff were sincere and attentive. Their warmth and love for their work made the whole stay peaceful. My suite had a jacuzzi and a carved four-poster bed, with a picturesque view of the lake and mountains. It was a lovely place to relax. Deep red floors gave Mascot Houseboats a regal, opulent feel from the moment I stepped aboard, like entering a maharaja's world. I'm profoundly grateful for this extraordinary experience, and wish the same for anyone traveling to Kashmir. Mascot Houseboat is a journey into elegance, comfort, and heartfelt hospitality. I loved my time by Nigeen Lake. The hotel is perfectly placed to enjoy the peaceful view, and the staff were kind and helpful. The room was clean, everything we needed was ready, and the bed was so comfortable. I recommend it without hesitation!
