The location near the national parks was a plus, and the surroundings were good for birds. Feklu the dog was another bright spot. The rest of our three-night stay, Jan 30 to Feb 1, had a lot of hassles. We found the food average. Breakfast and dinner were part of the package, but lunch cost extra. Tea or coffee after breakfast was also charged, as was drinking water, and there was no filtered water. Bottles left in the room looked complimentary but were billed; the charge was reversed only after we questioned it. The room curtains didn’t cover the doors and windows properly. There was no geyser, so getting hot water meant calling staff and waiting around 10 minutes. It then lasted only about 10 minutes. At 5 am, when we were leaving for a safari, the main gate was locked and nobody from staff or security was around. Someone showed up after about 10 minutes. If you need to check out early, let them know ahead and settle the bill the day before, since staff are usually unavailable early in the morning. One senior staff member, who seemed to be acting as manager and reporting to the owner, was rude and unhelpful throughout. When we raised concerns or asked questions, he got angry and kept telling us to speak to the owner.
