Resort Trimurti

The children’s park was the crown jewel of the property, and the staff were courteous throughout. The hotel was within walking distance of Murti river. From the valet taking our keys, service was seamless. Check-in took less than five minutes, and staff handled our bags. The room felt more like a high-end apartment than a hotel, with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking a peaceful garden courtyard away from the city noise. We ate at the signature restaurant, where the breakfast buffet was lip-smacking. The tribal dance arrangements were an extra topping to the cake.

The other staff were okay and provided proper baby food whenever we needed it. But we were worried and bewildered when a Bengali-speaking female waiter, who mostly worked at the restaurant, deliberately took our 1.5-year-old daughter into the kitchen for a while without our knowledge or permission. That behaviour was very unprofessional. At first, they gave us a lower-budget room than the one we had paid for. They changed it after we raised the concern.

Good for a weekend getaway. There’s a children’s park, a huge lawn, and a swimming pool, and the restaurant is very good. A few items are overpriced, though: a 1-litre water bottle costs 30 and a 750 ml Pepsi is ₹70.

The location is very good, right near Murti river, though it’s far from the main Lataguri market. Rooms are average. Restaurant food is good, but the complimentary breakfast is below average.
