The food was the highlight, though service was quite slow and the tables are arranged a bit tightly. Prices felt reasonable for the taste and quality. The restaurant is small, with about 8-10 tables and a bar counter. We visited over a long weekend, when nearly every restaurant around was crowded, and waited about half an hour for a table. The Chicken Lollipop was crisp and fried just right. Masala Lollipop came in a semi-gravy with a tasty coating, and the fresh, crispy Bombil Rawa Fry went well with its delicious coleslaw-like dip. Chicken Makkhanwala had a thick, flavorful gravy with shredded chicken, and the Chicken Fried Rice tasted good with vegetables. We didn’t enjoy the Prawns Malvani gravy. It was runny, had too many mustard seeds for Malvani style, and the prawns were on the small side. If you’re after drinks and good non-veg food in Nani Daman, this place is worth a visit.

Gurukripa is a convenient base, just a short walk from the sea-face road, and made it easy to explore nearby areas. My room and washroom were clean and comfortable, with the bathroom well maintained. Breakfast had a good variety, and the staff were polite and supportive throughout. A special mention for the morning-shift receptionist. She was service-oriented, very supportive, and made sure everything was taken care of smoothly. I had a great stay and would recommend it for a budget option.

The rooms are on the small side for a large family, but the service was good. The hotel sits right in the centre of Daman Sea face Road, with the main sights nearby if you have a car or another ride: Devka beach, Jampore beach, Nani Daman Night market, Mirasol lake Garden, and Moti Daman fort. I’d recommend this hotel.

The food was good, the service was very good, and the rates were comparatively low. I came back to this hotel for lunch after 10 years and found the same hospitality and management. The restaurant is very small, with short tables set close together. I gave it four stars because they didn’t provide a printed bill or a breakdown of the charges.

The location is excellent and the rooms are okay, but indifferent, seemingly untrained staff ruined the stay. They didn’t seem attentive to guests’ needs. The hotel needs to make major improvements to its hospitality.
