The Fern Seaside Luxurious Tent Resort Daman, Series by Marriott

The food was fresh and tasty, and we enjoyed every meal. The Fern Daman is in a really convenient spot, too. Vivek, Reena, Priya and Azad were kind and helpful the whole time, always ready when we needed something. We had a very nice stay and would happily come back.

The ambience is okay, though it could use some work, and the linens need to be better quality. On the plus side, there's ample parking, the food is excellent for taste, quantity, and quality, and the staff are polite and helpful. Thanks especially to Kanchan Veena Shrimanta and Priya for making it memorable.

We had a wonderful stay from 12/29/2025 to 01/01/2026, and were glad Marriott had taken over the property. The staff were excellent overall, and the complimentary afternoon tea was a treat. There's always room to improve, but we really enjoyed the visit. Roxit, Surpanya, Alpana, Vishal, and another front desk employee whose name I can't recall helped with everything we asked. Roxit also arranged an extension so we could stay for the New Year's celebration. The golf cart was a real help with the two elderly people in our party. It took them between the restaurant, room, front desk, and tea lounge, and carried our luggage too. The driver, whose name I forgot, helped my parents on and off and made sure they reached the room safely. Angela did a great job cleaning our room and staying attentive. A couple of housekeeping managers, whose names I can't remember, made sure the room was cleaned and brought things like water and towels within 10-15 minutes when we asked. The bar manager, whose name started with a ‘D’ and who wears glasses, was a rockstar. He arranged for someone to get almond milk from outside the resort when we needed it, and his food advice was superb. Achil and the other bar staff were friendly and accommodated what we needed and where we wanted to sit. One issue: we were told several times that specific wines or liquors weren't available, even though they were on the menu. The bar inventory should match its menu. I highly recommend the terrace restaurant. The paneer tikka, chicken tikka, soya chaps, beet kebab thing they had, and kulcha quesadilla were delicious. The bar was a fun place to hang out and get to know the staff, and the terrace restaurant serves hookah at night. Breakfast was good and included, though it's worth checking with the hotel. The live station made chai, eggs to order, and dosa to order. A menu saying which egg and dosa options they can make would help guests know what to ask for. I only learned they had egg burji on the last day, too late to try it. The ordering process for eggs and dosa felt disorganized, and people who ordered after us got their food first. It would help if the person taking orders wrote them down by table and made sure they were delivered. We had to ask multiple times where our dosa and eggs were. Plant-based milk such as almond or soy would be a good addition at breakfast. I can't remember all the names of the breakfast servers, but they did a great job and I hope the managers pass that on. Kati was a great waitress for lunch and dinner, and did everything we asked. The rooms were clean and spacious. Hot water lasted about 10 minutes, which meant the next person had to wait over an hour to shower. The Wi-Fi was choppy at times in our room, though it worked well around the resort. I hope they can address both issues.

Wrong billing was the main problem during my stay at The Fern Seaside Luxurious Tent Resort. We raised the charge with staff, but got no proper explanation or resolution. It came across as unprofessional and dishonest, and left me feeling that the property lacked transparency and fair billing. Staff and management seemed irresponsible, with nobody taking ownership or being accountable. It was a very bad experience, and I wouldn't recommend staying here if you want a trustworthy, well-managed hotel.
