The air conditioner didn’t work properly, which made the stay uncomfortable, and the room had no refrigerator. We checked in to Sagar Sawali Grand Hotel on 10/06/2026 expecting a pleasant, comfortable stay, but were extremely disappointed. Despite the high room charges, service was far below an acceptable standard and staff were rude, arrogant, and unprofessional. The hospitality didn’t justify the price. The hotel may call itself “Grand,” but the facilities and guest experience felt far from it. Management needs to improve staff behavior, maintenance, and customer service. I’m very dissatisfied and wouldn’t recommend it. There are much better options at this price. Very poor service, inadequate amenities, and disappointing hospitality. Rating: 1/5 ⭐

For a short stay, the location and beach view at Sagar Sawali Grand, Murud Beach View are good, and the place is decent. The rooms were okay, but the overall value felt average for the price and service. Maintenance and hospitality could be better. It’s not a bad place, though I personally wouldn’t recommend it if you want a comfortable, premium stay.

The food was delicious, especially the vegetarian dishes, some of the best I’ve tasted recently. Karde beach is right across from this peaceful resort. Rooms have huge balconies over the infinity pool and sea, with 360° sea views. The swimming pool is very big, clean, and overlooks the water. There’s lots of parking too. Great for families, worth every penny, and highly recommended.

The non-vegetarian food tasted delicious, but it was highly overpriced. Vegetarian options and breakfast were pathetic. We booked a sea-view room and got a dirty room at the back instead. The AC wasn’t cooling, and the toilet jet spray was broken. We complained twice about the room’s cleanliness and the AC, but staff did nothing. There was no response from management, which made this a very frustrating stay. Avoid.

The hotel is right in front of Karde beach, and the food was excellent. Service was excellent too, except for cleaning. We stayed two nights, and the property felt very dated despite being built in 2020. Cleaning wasn’t up to the mark: there were small cockroaches in the room and insects in the bathroom. We had to ask reception for hot water. The taps and mirrors were corroded, and the linen didn’t look changed on our first night.
