The Mango Inn

The Mango Inn is around 8 minutes from the town centre, though it can be a little tricky to find, and there’s no elevator, so it isn’t accessible-friendly. Still, I’d happily recommend it for a solo break, a family or friends trip, a couple’s stay, a workation, or pretty much any occasion. There are five single rooms in one bungalow, which works for small or larger groups. The rooms are spacious and clean, the views are spectacular, and the staff are really friendly and helpful. Food choices are limited, but the Maharashtrian dishes we had were very good.

Great value for money, and we’d definitely stay here again. The place is clean and well looked after, and everyone on staff was friendly and keen to help. We really enjoyed our time at Mango Inn and would recommend it.

I wasn’t sure what to expect as an Australian, but the stay went beyond what I’d hoped for. Ritwik, Priyanka and the rest of the staff were wonderful, and took extra care to introduce me to traditional Konkani and Maharashtrian food. I stayed at Signature Suites at Mango Inn last weekend. The room was beautifully furnished, and the food was excellent. I’d definitely recommend the place.

We had a disappointing stay at Mango Inn Resort, Dapoli, and I wouldn’t recommend it. The breakfast was the one bright spot: poha, sabudana wada and tea were good. The room had fungus, smelled bad and wasn’t clean. Their deluxe room felt more like an old apartment than a resort room. Dinner orders have to be placed at 6 PM, with no flexibility. We ordered 1 dal tadka, 1 chicken curry and 1 surmai fry, but got 2 dal tadka instead. One couldn’t be eaten, yet staff refused to take it back and still charged us. The chicken smelled, its gravy had no taste, and the surmai fry was below average. The food was overpriced, too. Later, we asked for rice for our baby and were refused because of the strict ordering rule. Poor hygiene, bad food, inflexible service and unjustified prices made this a bad experience.
