Treebo SS Residency Mountain View

One of the worst experiences I’ve had. The rooms smelled bad, had pests, and came with almost no amenities. The washrooms weren’t sanitary and had no exhaust fan. There’s no in-house housekeeping, and the hotel charges for water bottles. There’s also no restaurant, just two breakfast choices, Upma and poha.

I wouldn’t recommend staying here unless there’s no other choice. The visit was disappointing and poor value for the price. The property feels old and badly maintained, and the remote location adds to the inconvenience. The online photos are old and don’t show its current condition. Service was extremely slow and disorganized, and the hotel seemed understaffed, with only 2-3 people covering the whole property in shifts. Some staff were polite and tried to help, but others were rude and unprofessional. Breakfast choices were very limited and not something to look forward to. There was no hot water for bathing, a major drawback in colder weather. Network coverage was another problem: most providers had no signal, and only BSNL worked.

The staff were courteous and helpful, and the rooms are spacious with good equipment, though they don’t feel fresh. Treebo SS Residency, Dapoli, is decent, but our stay fell short of the expectations set by the reviews. The four-year-old property already shows some wear. Doors can stick, the flush mechanism occasionally malfunctions, and hot water is inconsistent. Poor roads from Khed to Dapoli and the lack of an in-house restaurant also took away from the trip. With some minor maintenance, this hotel has potential.

The photos on the website are misleading. I paid a lot for a place where little worked: even the AC and TV remote had issues. There’s no restaurant, so you have to go out for lunch and dinner. If you’re checking in late, eat beforehand. The staff are there but seem used to the problems and unable to do much. My room was on the second floor, where the lift didn’t stop. Staff showed me their trick of pulling the door while the lift was moving to make it stop, which is dangerous and unsafe. The hotel WiFi only works at reception, and there’s no WiFi in the rooms because of the network issue in the area. The place is totally mismanaged. You may be better off finding a good homestay; service standards are a big issue with hotels in this area. Goa would be much better than these properties.
