The food at Athiti guest house is not to be missed. We had a never-ending feast of delicious local dishes, simple but mouthwatering every time. I'd strongly recommend paying the extra fee to include a meal or two in the room rate. We stayed 4 nights while cycling across Asia on a budget for 8 months, and it was affordable even for backpackers wanting to treat themselves for a few nights. It's 4 km from the center of Darjeeling, much quieter, with a nice pub next door and right across the street from Batasia Loop. The large clean windows look out on stunning views. Rooms and common areas are spotless and charmingly decorated, and the bathrooms have small electric water heaters and western toilets. The owner and her daughter are both very professional, welcoming, and friendly. This is the best accommodation I've stayed at in the last 2 months traveling the Himalayan foothills, definitely Darjeeling's secret gem.

The guest house is just next to the war memorial, a few steps above which give great views of the majestic kanchenjungha range and Darjeeling. Mrs Indu, the manager and owner, and the service staff were praiseworthy, and they provided what we needed, especially enough hot water. We enjoyed a lovely stay. It was windy and freezing there, though, and the guest house lacks a room heater, which is essential in that weather. It's being renovated, so hopefully it'll meet all requirements.

The room was small but enough for 2 adults and one small child. Lovely place opposite Batasia loop, Darjeeling, and the food was lovely too.

The view from the room window is amazing, as you can see in the photo. Rooms are clean, the owners are friendly, and this is the best hotel in darjeeling. It has safe parking for bikes, so I recommend it to bikers. The rooms are good too.

I miss them. They always deliver quality service. Mr. Sherpa and his members are very good, and their food is lovely. 💖💖💖💖
