Hotel Broadway

Other hotels at the same price are better, so this felt underwhelming for the money. The staff weren’t professional, basic amenities were lacking, and it doesn’t suit senior citizens or children. The road is very steep, as are the stairs, and there’s no lift. Rooms smell, you can wait a long time for basic room service, and there’s no washroom dustbin for diapers.

Book ahead, and don’t choose a room on the top floor. We paid ₹3500 for a spacious double-bed room with one bathroom, but no view. The price goes up or down with the weather. The food was good, and the bathroom was neat. It was a good stay overall, around 40 steps from Mall Road.

The room was excellent, and the service was very good. They kept up with hygiene and maintenance.

From the balcony we could see the whole town and the mountain, exactly what we wanted. The rooms were the best I’d ever got for ₹1500, and I loved both them and the view 🫶 The hotel had pictures of town god Ganesha and lots of other posters. Plants by the stairs, the big clear windows, and sunlight coming into the building looked amazing. Warm sun also reached the room every morning. It smelled nice inside, and the dim lighting made the room look even better at night. Go for it.
