Booking by phone was easy, and Sabnam, the manager, made things especially comfortable with great communication in both Hindi and English. The staff were warm and friendly, and it was easy to get food, hot water, and other accessories. The room view was exotic and mesmerizing. Once in mountain bliss, always in mountain bliss.

We were really dissatisfied with this property. The room was so damp it stank, and it was cold without a heater. They asked us for an extra 400 for one. We arrived late for check-in because our train was delayed and missed lunch, but the hotel wouldn’t honor that lunch the next day or compensate us for the lunch for 10 members. Room service was poor, and we had to ask several times for everything. The geyser didn’t work, a tap was leaking, and the night lamp was broken too.

The entrance alley was covered in tobacco spit, and the staff were rude. Rooms and service were bad, yet they still asked for a tip. The photos are misleading; I’ve attached actual photos of the entrance. The first photo is the view from the window they charge extra for. Their photos show a rooftop dining area, but that belongs to a different hotel. You can find better places even right beside this one. Worst experience ever, in all my years of travelling. It doesn’t deserve even one star. Please don’t book it.

I don’t understand Google’s 4.7 rating. I stayed with my wife and our mothers, and it was one of our worst experiences. It’s a building with the top two floors turned into hotel rooms, not really a hotel, and there’s no lift. The entrance was dirty and unlit. The room was advertised as having a mountain view, but there was no mountain view from inside; you had to go out onto the roof. I’d booked breakfast, but both mornings we only got bread omlette with tea. Getting hot water was especially difficult. The reception controls the geyser power, so we had to call each time. There wasn’t a phone in my room, so I had to use my own phone every time, which was very inconvenient. I’d booked a room with two double beds for four people, but they gave us one towel. When I asked for more, I was told they only provide one per room, which makes no sense. They did eventually give us two more towels. The food they cooked was good, but everything else was pathetic. Please avoid booking this hotel.
