The rooms are warm, and the hot water is excellent. It’s a cozy hotel, the kind that makes you hesitate to complain, but the bedding and towels were stained. The bedsheet had food stains and hair, the pillow cover was stained too, and the towel had rust marks. I don’t know if it was because we came in the off-season or because laundry is expensive. We’d prepaid for two nights, so after arriving in Darjeeling at night, we tried to make do and slept in. We were out all day the next day, but when we came back there were a couple of small cockroaches in the room, and I couldn’t stay any longer. We left without complaining because I thought all the rooms might be like that. For the same price, I’d recommend Villa Everest if you don’t mind the walk. It’s a km uphill from mall road.

We had everything we needed, including electric blankets, a geyser, room shoe, tea and coffee sachets, and an electric kettle. The staff were really helpful, and the hotel is so close to the mall road that getting there was hassle-free. We had a really nice stay and would visit again.

We stayed in the Royal Executive room near reception at Hotel Sunflower. It was spacious, luxurious, bright, and well maintained. The hotel is affordable for such a great spot at Darjeeling Mall, and the restaurant food was excellent. The housekeeping and restaurant staff were commendable. Whenever we needed something, it was brought right away, and we won’t forget their hospitality. This is a great option for elders and families because it’s the only hotel at Mall with rooms without stairs. We had an excellent stay and will be back.

A peaceful, relaxing atmosphere despite being in the middle of the action. The hotel is right on the iconic Darjeeling Mall, so the lively market and mall are only steps away. Mall Road, local eateries, shops, and major sights are all an easy walk. The clean, well kept rooms are cozy and thoughtfully decorated, mixing modern amenities with local charm. Rates are reasonable for the location, service, and amenities, and feel like good value compared with similar places nearby. Staff were courteous, welcoming, and attentive throughout. The on-site restaurant served delicious food with a good mix of local and international options. A lovely choice if you’re in Darjeeling for sightseeing, shopping, or just to enjoy its charm.
