Jagjeet Himalayan Retreat

I came across this place while looking around maps, and it's within walking distance of Mall Road. My simple, cozy room had the basics: a bed, reasonably clean linen, a kettle, and tea bags. I only stayed one night, and it did the job. The price felt a little high, but I suppose that's tourist areas in the busy summer season. I wanted a balcony room, but those cost more, so I chose to walk around in the evening instead. There were a couple of design issues: the bathroom door wouldn't shut properly from outside, and the kettle had to sit on the floor to reach the socket. The staff were pleasant, though. When I asked them to fill my water bottle, they did it quickly and courteously.

Reception DADA made check-in easy and was polite, efficient, and ready to help with any request. The rest of the staff were courteous too, and service was prompt. At Hotel Himalayan Retreat, Darjeeling, the room was spacious, tidy, and well organized, with comfortable bedding and spotless washrooms. Hot water and Wi-Fi worked throughout our stay. The location was convenient and easy to access, and the whole visit was comfortable and relaxing. I'd happily stay here again and recommend it to families and solo travelers.

It was quiet, good value, and convenient for nearby attractions and restaurants. The property also showed real attention to detail. I found the staff consistently friendly and helpful, and the spotless, comfortable rooms were thoughtfully laid out, making it easy to unwind after a long day. I had a wonderful stay and would happily come back.

Mr. Halim's warm smile, respectful manner, and attentive help made us feel welcome and relaxed. From check-in through the rest of our stay, he kept an eye on all the little details, and his hospitality made the visit especially memorable. The other staff were polite and professional as well.
