For a short stay, this is a pocket-friendly place if you're fine with basic rooms and no luxury or premium facilities. The rooms are average, and room service can be unreliable. The geyser doesn't always work, which is a hassle in cold weather. Hotel New Vaishali in Darjeeling is an okay budget option for travelers mainly looking to save money.

It's within walking distance of the famous Darjeeling mall, and a few of the rooms are good. But hot water is a major problem. They only provide a very limited amount, and it's barely warm. There are geysers, but most of the time they're useless.

We spent six days here, and it's a very nice hotel near the mall. The food and cooking were both very good, and the staff were sincere. Nitesh ji, the owner, was a very good man and helped us sincerely. Special thanks to him.

The bathroom was very good, with quality fittings and both hot and cold water. The manager was friendly and even gave us an extra bed at no charge. We had the best stay here during our Darjiling trip, with good amenities and proper service.
