I had a pleasant stay here. The hotel is very budget friendly, and the staff were helpful and their service was really good.

The wait for lunch was much longer than we were told. They said it would take half an hour, but it took an hour and a half, and my children were crying because they were hungry. The intercom did not work either. Later, they moved us to another room and put one bed on the floor. The bathroom floor had standing water, there was no hand shower, and the commode tank was broken. We had no hot water for 24 hours, and even the regular water supply was unavailable for that long. The television did not work. Although we had booked a double deluxe room, they also asked us to pay for an extra bed. We felt very badly treated, so please take proper action against them. We arrived after a long trip from Siliguri, traveling with my two children and my elderly mother. The receptionist said our booking had been cancelled, even though it was confirmed and fully paid. We kept asking about it, but he continued to deny the booking. We waited about 45 minutes for the owner and could not leave our car driver there alone. When the owner arrived and checked, he said there had been a miscommunication and the booking had not been cancelled after all. Because of their mistake, we had to wait a long time to get a room. When I asked why we had been put through this, the owner was very rude. They gave us a room on the third floor and nobody helped carry our luggage. At first they assigned us a small double bedroom, even though we had booked a double deluxe room for four adults and one child. After we questioned it, they gave us another room, but that was not a double deluxe room either.

Breakfast isn't included, and the service could be better. The food is moderate in quality, though reasonably priced. The rooms are spacious and have a nice view of Kanchenjunga. I'd prefer H1, H2, or H3 on the third floor. The market is within walking distance, and you can get dropped off here by car.

Mr Maiti, the manager, and the staff were very helpful and positive. They arranged a sightseeing car at reasonable rates, similar to what other day-to-day car rentals charge, and Mr Vishal was a very cooperative driver. They can also prepare food for you whenever you ask, and arrange saundary services for a fee. The place feels old-fashioned and short on professionalism. The staff setup is basically one manager and two helpers, and they seemed outdated and out of touch with current needs. They will do what you ask, but in their own way and to their own standards. I had to ask them to put dustbins in the rooms and clean the dining table after meals. There was no set schedule for room cleaning or changing the linen.
