Ramada by Wyndham Darjeeling Gandhi Road

After two days at Ramada Hotel, we realized its position in the heart of the main market is a real plus. Taxis and other vehicles are easy to find right at the entrance, and our own car could reach the gate comfortably, which matters in a hill station like Darjeeling. The entrance didn’t make a good first impression on day one, though. We had a minor room issue at first, but Mr. Prashant singh ji dealt with it professionally and moved us the next day to a premium mountain view room on the 3rd floor. The view of Kanchenjunga was stunning and memorable. The food was good, and the restaurant staff were courteous and efficient. If you need a bathtub, mention it when booking because not every room has one. Housekeeping was a bit slow. At around ₹10,000 per night, we expected a somewhat higher service standard. Apart from that, the stay was pleasant and satisfactory.

The rooms could be a little bigger for three adults, though the balcony was very spacious. We enjoyed good food, and the complimentary breakfast was a lovely extra. I hadn’t realized the baby’s food we ordered was complimentary. The staff were humble and well trained, and the location is probably the best in Darjeeling. The view of the mighty Kanchunjunga was beautiful.

The room upgrade was such a nice surprise. Puja and Prashant at reception were welcoming and helpful from the start, and moved us from the Deluxe King Room I’d booked to a Premium Deluxe Room with a lovely view at no extra charge. The hotel feels genuinely luxurious, with spotless, spacious rooms and thoughtful details throughout. Having a bathtub was especially welcome in Darjeeling’s weather. We were delighted with our stay, and I’d happily recommend Ramada to visitors.

Mr. SUBRATA MUKHERJEE ( RDM) really stands out as an asset to the property. He’s capable, knowledgeable, and takes responsibility readily. Pooja at the front desk and Mr. Rajesh Jha were friendly and efficient too. I found the food delicious and hygienic, and the staff’s commitment was excellent. From check-in onward, the welcome was warm. My accommodation was spacious, immaculate, and well equipped. This was my best hotel experience, and I’d gladly return to RAMADA BY WYNDHAM DARJILING. Highly recommended for its service and cuisine.
