The hosts were lovely and made sure we didn’t have to walk the slope from the main road, the host drove us to and from there. Older guests might find that climb hard otherwise. Inside, the rooms are spacious, with a geyser and heater, and the food was great. We felt welcome and really enjoyed our stay. Would happily come back.
The meals were freshly made and delicious, and the hosts also gave us useful local sightseeing tips. Snow Lion Homestay has a peaceful feel while still being close to the main town. Our room was clean, cozy, and well looked after, with a nice mix of comfort and traditional charm. The hosts were warm and made a real effort to help us feel at home. I had an amazing stay in Darjeeling and would recommend it for the hospitality.
The room cleanliness could have been better, but the view, Tibetan feel, and all the decor looked stunning. The experience as a whole was amazing.
The terrace has lovely views, and there are large family rooms up on that level with the same nice outlook. The rooms are big and furnished well. A good location and a budget-friendly stay.
It’s an okay place to stay, but I don’t think the price is justified. The rooms felt quite small compared with other places I’ve stayed, and there’s no view from them, so you have to go up to the top floor for one. I paid almost the same at Everest Villa before and had a much better experience there.
