The rooms were spacious, neat, and clean, and there's a lovely dining area. Food was quite good, though they don't serve local cuisine. There's no hot water running around the clock, but they turn on the geyser's main switch when it's needed. The staff and hospitality were up to standard. A nice stay, and within walking distance of the Mall.

The hotel is in a quiet spot a little uphill from the city clock tower, away from the bustle, yet the Mall is about a five minute walk. The rooftop and restaurant both have fantastic mountain views. Food was fairly average, but the staff were very polite. A good choice if you want somewhere tranquil to relax.

They took really good care of one of our older companions when she became seriously ill. We were traveling with elderly people, and the staff were decent and supportive. From the rooftop and restaurant we got an extraordinary view of Kanchenjunga. It's about a 10 minute uphill walk from the Mall. The food was fairly average, but the calm setting, away from the daily bustle, could be nice for a relaxing stay.

We missed our return train after the car the owner booked for us never showed up. The rooms were cramped, and there were too few staff, so service was slow. Not one bedsheet I saw was free of stains. Food, even tea, was overpriced, and access to hot water was unreasonably limited. There were no room heaters. The dining room had a good view, but that was all.

We had a lovely stay and I'd gladly come back when I'm in Darjeeling again. Our rooms, 1O6 and 1O7, were cozy and comfortable, with an excellent view from the window, and the food was really tasty. The open terrace restaurant was delightful. The hotel's location works well for mountain views, and there's a shortcut that gets you to the Mall in about 5-8 minutes. Service was a pleasure. Reviews aren't always accurate, so don't rely on them completely. My only request is that they start accepting cards, since not having that option can be difficult for visitors.
