The host was welcoming, and we enjoyed delicious home-cooked meals. The homestay’s amenities were comfortable and met our needs. We could see Kanchenjunga from both our room and the terrace. The nearby traffic point on Hill Cart rd is within walking distance, and local taxis from there to Chowk bazaar cost Rs. 15 per person. Getting around on foot can mean steep, winding roads, which may be hard for elderly people or small children. After 8 pm, when fewer rides are available, fares from places like Chowk Bazaar or Mall Road can jump to over Rs. 300 for just 2-3 km, compared with Rs. 15 per person during regular hours. The location is convenient for exploring, and planning your activities and itinerary ahead can make getting around easier.

The owner was so warm and welcoming, and the rooms are really big. From the terrace, the views are just awesome and you can see kanchanjunga. I just love this very nice homestay in darjeeling.
