Hotel Kesar Palace

The good parts of Hotel Kesar Palace were the neat, tidy rooms and surroundings, comfortable chair and bed, and a good balcony view. The bucket and mug in the washroom weren't clean, though. Staff were always courteous, we felt safe as a family, and the food was good. They also gave us a complimentary drop to Railway Station when we asked, which we appreciated. I checked into a super deluxe room for a 2 day stay in 2017, and would give it 3 stars based on that real experience. On Day 1, the direct extension wasn't working and they didn't repair it. Tata sky hadn't been recharged, so we had to ask staff to activate it, and even then the picture quality was very poor. The washroom geyser didn't work and they couldn't fix it, but they let us use the washroom in another vacant room. The room didn't have the tea and coffee maker or safe locker listed on the make my trip page. The attendants were missing from reception much of the time. When I asked the price of a water bottle, I was told Rs 20 instead of the printed price of Rs 15. After I said that was illegal, he agreed to sell it at MRP. I would still recommend choosing this hotel. There were issues, but they can be ignored, and the staff may improve.
