Hotel Abhiman by iROOMZ

The staff were rude and didn’t know how to speak to guests. The shower and taps in my AC room were completely broken, so I couldn’t even bathe. I asked to move rooms and was told it would be done, but nothing changed by the next morning. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

We only needed a night while traveling from Bangalore, so we called two days ahead to ask if we could bring our pets. They said yes. Once we arrived, though, we were given a hard time about it. The staff member we’d spoken with wasn’t there, and nobody could reach him by phone. The staff weren’t all bad, but the old man at the hotel was very ill-mannered and kept repeating himself instead of treating us like guests. Nobody had mentioned extra charges on the call, yet he demanded over 1000rs to keep our pets in the room for less than 12hrs. After all that, we left and booked an Airbnb, where we had a great night. If you’re looking to hop in devengere with pets, don’t call these people.

The staff were good, and we only stopped to sleep, but the room had an inch of dust. We reached Davangere at 5am after driving nonstop from 9.30pm, with Goa as our destination. All the other hotels were booked, and we couldn’t sleep in the car with 3 kids, so this place was a savior. The rooms were new, but there was a problem with the water. Staff turned on the motor and said water takes time to reach the 3rd floor. Even at 9am, the sink tap and toilet hand shower (alpha set) were dry. Only the main tap worked, so we had to fill a bucket and manage that way. We didn’t stay long.

Booking two rooms online through mmt was easy, and the hotel is close to the city center. Staff were reasonable, though nothing special, and you can get food at nearby hotels. Parking fits 4 to 6 cars at most, with 1 spot used by the owner. The toilets in both rooms were bad, so we had to change rooms. The replacements were only average too. The hotel and rooms badly need renovation, and it’s not worth the price. I’d stay only if there were no other option. Not recommended.
