The people at Thul Ghar were very helpful, and I felt safe staying there with family. We arrived around midnight, and people in Dehradun were helpful too. The auto wala was a nice fellow. I stayed one night in a premium room with a balcony. It was large and clean, as was the washroom, though the washroom could use a little more cleaning. The place is very close to the highway. Road work was going on during our stay, so we had to come in by the back street, but that was okay. Both premium rooms share one big balcony, so they should add a temporary divider. Otherwise, it was a very good stay, and I'd stay again on my next visit.

For us, a couple cycling around India on our tandem, this was a perfect place to spend the night. The spacious rooms were clean, the staff were very friendly, the WiFi was good, and there was safe storage for our tandem. It's set back from the highway, so it's quieter. Decathlon is right across the street, with bicycle mechanics available there if you need maintenance, though spare parts are very limited. I'd certainly recommend this place.

I stayed one night. The assistant gets 2 stars and the location 5, but room comfort only gets 1. The beds weren't comfortable.

Aneesha and the friendly staff made me feel genuinely welcome. Thul Ghar was a peaceful retreat, conveniently close to attractions, with comfortable, spacious rooms and excellent amenities. I felt at home, and the service was impeccable. Highly recommended!
