Fairfield by Marriott Dehradun

The food was great and the atmosphere was comfortable, but respect was missing when I visited the restaurant last night. Staff repeatedly asked, “Where is your home?” and “Where are you actually from?” I explained several times that my family has lived here for three generations, but they kept questioning me. Being Bengali seemed to make them act as if I couldn't belong to my own city and state. Asking someone to justify their presence because of ethnicity or language isn't harmless curiosity. It felt like casual othering. Bravo Marriott, the subtle xenophobia really was five-star. Hospitality means respect as well as service, and I didn't feel that last night.

The food made a strong impression, with fresh flavors and a balanced menu that would suit business or leisure travelers. Staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, which added a lot to the stay. At Fairfield by Marriott, my room was clean, well maintained, and had the essential comforts. The property felt thoughtfully designed, and the stay was relaxing and efficient. It offers good value and consistent quality, making it a reliable choice for a smooth, pleasant visit.

Our Aashirwad Hostel Girls' party on 24 Jan 2026 went smoothly and safely, even with a huge crowd. The staff were around throughout and stayed proactive and helpful, making the celebration feel flawless instead of chaotic. Their cooperation and friendliness meant a lot to us. Mr Varun and the DJ team kept the energy going with fantastic music. The snacks and food from Mr Umed Rana, Mr Nitin, and the restaurant team were delicious, and people were asking for seconds. At reception, Mr Vikas Kaintura, Mr Balwant, and the team gave us a warm welcome and coordinated everything seamlessly. Thank you to everyone at Fairfield Marriott Team Dehradun. We went to the Marriott restaurant with our family and little baby, and the staff made us feel welcome right away. They were attentive and took extra care to help us feel comfortable with a baby along. The food was delicious, and every dish seemed prepared with love and attention. At the end of the meal, the team surprised us with a thoughtful gesture that made the evening even more memorable. The little details, from service to presentation, were beautifully done.
