Gold Stone Comfort’s rooftop restaurant still has lovely surroundings, with its renovated setup and great views. The rooftop ambiance is a real draw. But the food and service have declined. It used to be a great place for delicious food and a peaceful view of the hilly ranges of Mussoorie, but my recent experiences have been below par. The food quality has taken a hit, and service is inconsistent. Some staff seem unprofessional and don’t pay attention to details. Guests have even had to ask for basics like towels in their rooms. I’d rate the experience 2.5 out of 5: food 2/5, service 2/5, and ambiance 4/5. It can still be a decent rooftop dining option with a view, as long as you manage your expectations. Check reviews and menus before visiting so you know what to expect.

The staff are supportive, the food is tasty with a good variety, and the stay was pleasant with all the necessities. It’s also easy to reach important spots in city Dehradun.

Room service and the food were good, but the prices were on the high side. The hotel is far from the city centre. Our room was large, though the cleaning in both the room and washroom wasn’t up to the mark.

The food was good, and the restaurant staff were good too. But we didn’t get the room we’d booked, even though there were plenty of empty rooms. The one they gave us was dirty, with a dirty bedsheet and toilet seat, and a pillar in the room.
