Hotel Basera

Getting to places to eat takes some effort from here. Kalsang, for example, is at least a 15-20 minute walk, and the hotel sits well behind Mall Road. I stayed a couple of weeks ago, and the room rates seemed to change depending on the customer, which didn't feel transparent. Service was slow too, even a request for water or simple food took a while. Hot water wasn't available when needed, the washroom smelled filthy, and the furniture was old and damaged. The TV barely worked. Small things seemed to be a big problem here.

The staff at Hotel Basera were polite and helpful, and the room itself was comfortable. My stay was pleasant, though room service could be better to make things run more smoothly. A decent place in Mussoorie.

Food at Basera was tasty and reasonably priced, and there was plenty of car parking. The staff were humble, and the property is in a prime spot, only a few hundred steps from Library Chowk. I spent five very pleasant days there. There are two lifts for getting around, and it felt worth the money.

Guests were treated rudely, and the staff were very arrogant. They didn't provide basic hot services. It was a very, very bad experience, and I wouldn't give even one star. I recommend tourists avoid booking here.
