Hotel Royal Classic

The rooms are nice, and the balcony looks out toward the mountain. The morning view has a really nice vibe, and the location is good.

We booked online with pay at hotel, but when we contacted the hotel, they asked for an advance to hold the booking and sent a QR code. On arrival, they refused to check us in. We then booked again through their site and paid another advance, but staff refused check-in again, saying the site wasn’t official and was run by an agent. The hotel said the refund wasn’t their concern and gave us the agent’s number. We still haven’t received the money back. The same thing happened to my friends. I suggest not booking online here. They may turn you away if offline guests arrive, leaving you without a place, especially on a weekend or public holiday. Pathetic service and behavior. Not recommended at all.

The room photos on booking sites looked good, but the actual rooms were old and not properly maintained. We didn’t receive the welcome drink included in our booking, and staff said they didn’t have any, with no compensation offered. The geyser and lights in our room weren’t working. The fan came on automatically with the lights, and staff neither fixed it nor changed our room. There were visible stains on the blanket and bedsheets; staff dismissed them as permanent and said they couldn’t do anything. I’d recommend avoiding this place if you can.

Parking was available, and check-in was quick, which made things easy from the start. Hotel Royal Classic is close to Mall Road and other attractions, and the staff were polite, helpful, and cooperative. For the price, it felt like very good value. I had a great stay and would recommend it.
