Prince Hotel

The hotel was about 120 years old, and the upper floors had a creepy feel. Old wooden walls, antique furniture, dim lights, and long quiet corridors made the place seem straight out of the British era. The rooms were surprisingly affordable for their size, view, and location. We’d been looking for a decent hotel within budget in Mussoorie and hadn’t found one until this place caught my attention. I can’t say why I felt drawn to it as soon as I saw it. After we confirmed the room, we went back to the car for our bags. A few hotel owners nearby warned us. One said we’d come running back by night. We laughed and asked what was wrong with the place, but he only smiled and said we’d find out for ourselves. We checked in anyway and had a great time exploring Mussoorie and Mall Road, taking photos, and hanging out together. There were four of us. Only one friend and I drank; the other two didn’t. We got back around 3 AM after being out on Mall Road. The two who hadn’t drunk seemed uncomfortable and said they felt scared by the atmosphere outside the hotel, not exactly inside the room. I feel energies strongly, so I went out alone to check the property. I looked through the corridors, staircase, and back area, but didn’t sense anything negative. It felt mysterious yet peaceful. Then I saw a beautiful girl dressed in old-fashioned clothes from another century, like she belonged to the British era. She looked strangely calm and out of place. For a moment everything went quiet. I blinked, and she was gone. I wasn’t scared. Whatever energy was there didn’t feel evil or negative, more playful, as if it liked teasing or startling people a little. Even now, I wonder whether it was my imagination or if I really saw someone from another time.

I’ve liked this heritage hotel for a long time. The owners and all the staff are friendly, and it has its own vibe. The rooms have great views, and it’s quite affordable.

The location feels like heaven, with views across Mussoorie from the rooms and veranda. We loved it ❤️ The hospitality was very nice, room service was the best, and the staff left us undisturbed.

For budget travellers wanting a room on Mall Road, this was a good stay for the price. The building is very old, but worth considering.
