Rubystone Mussoorie A Leisure Resort

Our stay at Rubystone Resort Mussoorie was frustrating from the outset. We had a confirmed Scapia online booking for two rooms for five people, but the receptionist said they had no booking and no dealings with Scapia, leaving us waiting outside for over an hour. We were travelling with family and weren’t even offered water or basic courtesy during that wait. Once they finally acknowledged us, they said we had to buy another room for one person despite our booking being for five. We asked for an extra mattress in the rooms we already had; the receptionist first refused, then quoted ₹500, and later raised it to ₹750 after confirming the booking. The shifting terms and lack of professionalism and hospitality made this unacceptable. I strongly advise against staying here.

At checkout, we had to ask several times before we got a receipt for the extra charges. This followed a frustrating family check-in: although our booking was confirmed, staff said they had no record of it and called the website we used “fraudulent.” I had to contact the booking platform myself, and the hotel only received confirmation after they intervened. Even then, the receptionist left us waiting another 15 minutes without telling us, and had a poor attitude throughout. They first said an extra mattress would cost ₹500, then raised it to ₹750 without explanation. The receptionist was especially unprofessional and lacked basic hospitality skills. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a stress-free stay.

The food was very nice, and the hotel staff were good to us. We enjoyed the hospitality at Rubystone and had a good experience. I’m especially thankful to general manager mr Rajendra, who was humble and kind. Thank you, Rubystone hotel, for a great stay. I’d like to visit again.
