Sangam by Stotrak

We found the food very good, and the hotel was clean throughout. It's close to the main attractions and easy to reach from the bus stand, while still feeling peaceful. Our room was spacious, tidy, comfortable, and had modern facilities. The staff were cheerful, quick with room service, and ready to help. vidushi mam also guided us. A fantastic stay for families or couples.

The restaurant was a highlight for us. The Indian food tasted home-cooked, and breakfast had plenty of choice. Staff were polite and helpful from check-in through check-out, and ms.vidushi deserves a special thank you. We stayed at Sangam by Stotrak, Jhula Ghar Mussoorie, close to the Jhula Ghar on Mall Road. Shops, places to eat, and the main sights were an easy walk away. Our room was clean and comfortable, with a lovely valley view. The flat-screen TV and reliable Wi-Fi were welcome too.

The food was mostly below average. Poha was the only thing I thought was acceptable. Getting around was another hassle: the hotel is in the middle of Mall Road, about 1.3 km from both Library Chowk and Picture Palace. You have to walk or take a rickshaw, which cost ₹100 one way for two people. I booked specifically for a balcony room, but there wasn't a private balcony. It was an open passage or corridor, so there was no privacy with the curtains open. That felt misleading, and when I raised it, there was no option to change rooms or get reimbursed. A very disappointing stay, and I wouldn't recommend it.

Mall Road was the one good thing about our stay at Sangam by Stotrak, Jhula Ghar, Mussoorie from 21-23 November. The rest was deeply disappointing. I don't understand the good ratings and genuinely wonder if they're real. The property has barely 10 rooms, and nearly half seemed unusable or poorly maintained. Our room looked superficially clean, but the sheets, pillow covers, and curtains were dirty. It felt like an unprofessional homestay, not a hotel. Breakfast was included, yet staff refused the choices listed on their menu and said we'd only get whatever they decided to cook. It came very late for us and for guests before us, seemingly only after someone complained. When we raised it at reception, the chef refused us to our face. Housekeeping just swept the floor when we asked for cleaning. There were no refreshment refills or drinking water, and we had to keep asking for a water jug. We also found a huge spider in the room. Staff were indifferent and unprofessional, with no one to help with luggage. The so-called hotel parking was 500 meters away. One of the most disappointing hotel stays I've had. I'd give zero stars if I could, and wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Save yourself the stress and stay somewhere else in Mussoorie.
