Sidus Rink- A Heritage Hotel

I was in Mussoorie that morning and saw the fire, taking photos and video myself. The hotel on camel's back road, beside Mall Road, was gutted around 4 am on 17th September 2023. It had been closed to customers for renovation and was due to reopen on the 22nd of that month. There was extensive woodwork being done to beautify it. Some eyewitnesses said they heard a loud expression caused by a cooking gas cylinder, while others thought a short circuit started the fire. People said around 10-12 crores had been spent on renovations, but the entire hotel burned and not a single room or part of the property was saved. Smoke was still visible from my hotel late that night and the next morning.
