Our vacation was very disappointing, and the owner wouldn’t listen when we raised concerns. The caretaker, though, was good and responsive. The property and rooms didn’t match the pictures, the rooms were poor quality, and there was no kitchen access, which didn’t work well for a family. The approach is a narrow hill road that felt risky for a novice driver. It’s at the top of the mountain, so walking to Mall Road isn’t possible; you need your own car or their help, and any time you need something, you have to go down to Mall Road. The same property is listed under different names on various platforms, so don’t trust the photos. We paid 35K for a two-night stay. He quoted 5K for a gala dinner for six adults, but the food was a disaster and I felt cheated. The owner made lots of promises, but I wouldn’t believe him. He seemed money-minded. Better avoid this property.

The owners made us feel included and welcome, treating us like family and helping us plan our trip and settle in comfortably. That warmth is why I’m writing such a long review, even though I don’t usually do that. The rooms were clean, and the property’s sports touches gave it a youthful but cultured feel. Its modern rustic style also gave the place a luxurious ambience. There’s a beautiful terrace for stargazing, working, eating, or just having fun, with views every bit as stunning as Laal Tibba. The view from the property itself is amazing, too. Mall Road is only a 10-minute walk away, with taxis easy to get, so it’s near the city’s heart while still away from the tourist crowds and chaos. I hope this helps anyone planning a visit to Mussoorie. It was a great experience!

The staff were very cooperative and brought warm water whenever we asked. They also provide free rides to and from Mall Road, which is helpful since the hotel is up above it. Our room was nice and had a mountain view, and there’s a terrace you can visit at night. A very beautiful location and a nice option.

Gunhill point is quite close, and the hotel has a scenic view that I liked. The room and washroom were clean, and the hospitality was superb, with a hotel and homely feel. The drawback is the location: it’s far from Mall Road, hard to find on the map, and there are no shops nearby. The hoteliers can pick you up and drop you off, otherwise getting there is tough.

We were happy with the view when we arrived, and the welcome was warm, but by the end this homestay had ruined the trip for us. The bedding was extremely dirty, there was hair on the pillows, the bathrooms smelled, the sink had dirty mop marks, and the shower had no pressure. The food was also unreasonably expensive. Near the end of our stay, the caretaker became rude. They had said they would take us to Mussoorie Library, but when it was time to drop us off, he said he wouldn’t go all the way and would leave us a kilometer away. There were 10 of us with lots of luggage.
