It's sad to see how badly run this place has become. It used to be well managed, but now the mismanagement is unfortunate. Everyone in the dining area seemed upset too. The food took almost two hours after we ordered, and when it finally came, it was completely tasteless. The bread was dry, thick, and seemed stale.

The grounds are the real draw, with lots of open space, lawns, natural scenery, and beautiful birds. I haven’t stayed overnight, though the rooms look spacious and lavish. The restaurant is clean and has a distinctive design, and the food is good quality, but the taste could use some improvement. The place is now called Mike's Forest Retreat. There’s a Rs 500 entry charge per adult, which gets adjusted against the bill.

We had a great long weekend here, and the two friendly dogs who greet you were a lovely welcome. It’s a pet-friendly resort spread across 125 acres, with birds, rooms, a bar, a gym, and a restaurant. The food was good and the staff were nice. It’s a quieter, offbeat spot about 10 km from the main city. The road there is narrow in places, but still manageable. The resort’s new name is Mikes Forest Retreat.

Madhurika madam welcomed us so warmly and made sure we were enjoying our stay. It’s a lovely jungle setting, away from the city noise, and a great break from busy city life. Highly recommended.
