The lawns are lovely for simply spending the day in the sun, and the music collection is superb. Maybe guests could be given a CD of it at checkout. Upper-floor rooms have wonderful views, and breakfast is excellent in both quality and quantity even though it isn’t buffet style. The pickup from mall road is a great help. I’d choose the main heritage building over the new ones. Its decor, with paintings of birds and forts, is impressive, and the restaurant is beautiful inside, looking out onto the garden. The staff’s manner is the real highlight. A few room details could be better: some mugs were chipped, and clean mugs should be brought from the kitchen each day instead of being washed in the bathroom. White branded mugs with the palace monogram would be nice. Matching curtains inside the entrance doors would make rooms cozier, and an extra speaker upstairs would be welcome.

This place feels so royal and welcoming, I could imagine staying for a couple of weeks. It’s right by Mall road, with a palace atmosphere, old guns, and history on display, all very well maintained. The rooms are huge. We somehow ended up in a big top-floor room with two king beds and a beautiful mountain view. Lovely rooms, great ambience, and wonderful hospitality. A must-stay for anyone going to Mussorie.

The room and garden views were brilliant, and the rooms are spacious, but they need repairs. Our large room had just a 1Ton hot/cold AC and no room heater. The breakfast buffet was average. There are only small geysers, barely enough hot water for one person to bathe.

The location is stunning, and Kasmanda Palace has such a lovely mix of comfort, luxury, and charm. The whole team was polite and courteous, taking care of everything from our warm welcome through to the farewell. Their hospitality made the stay feel special. It was an exceptional getaway in Mussoorie, and one I’ll always remember. I highly recommend it, and the five-star service deserves five-star recognition.
