Collection O 79351 The Hosteller

Abhishek and Akash at the front desk gave excellent service, and getting around Delhi was convenient thanks to the good public transit links. My room was a little smaller than I expected, but it wasn’t a big issue. I had a great stay at Hosteller Delhi and would recommend it for a short visit.

The rooms were comfortable and spacious, and check-in was quick and straightforward. Staff were welcoming, polite, and accommodating throughout. The hotel is a little outside the city center, though public and private transport both make it easy to reach. A couple of bathroom details could be better: the shower pressure was weak, and without slippers or a bath mat, the floor got wet and a bit messy.

The single room was clean and comfortable, just what I needed to get some rest. One thing I appreciated was that Hosteller Delhi didn’t ask me for a review. During my time in India, places and hotels often asked for reviews, sometimes before I’d even left, which can make a comment feel less objective. That was nice here.

The restaurant team were attentive and understanding, and housekeeping kept up a consistently good standard. I also really appreciated how kind and helpful Vicky, Akash, and several other staff members were during my stay. Reception was less consistent. From check-in onward, some staff were warm and helpful while others seemed indifferent. The approach at both check-in and check-out sometimes felt unwelcoming. If a guest isn’t a good fit for the property, it would be more professional to say so clearly instead of making them uncomfortable. I think the areas needing work are already known, so I won’t get into details or point fingers. This was one of my best hostel stays, but also one of the most challenging. It’s still memorable, with great people and clear room to improve.
