Hotel Lotus B&B By OYO Rooms

I planned to stay for three days, but after seeing the room, even one night felt endless. It was like a closet, with damp walls. There was no receptionist and no room service. After 11 pm, I had to ring the bell and call the receptionist for 20 minutes before he finally opened the door, half asleep. Once inside, I was locked in. If there’d been an emergency late at night, I’d have been on my own. I’d booked a month ahead for a good deal, but when I arrived, they canceled my booking in front of me and asked for more money. It was late and nearby hotels were full, so I had no choice but to pay. That’s taking advantage of a guest who has nowhere else to go. OYO has a shady, unresponsive mess here, and it was unforgettable in the worst way.

They take your money and book you a room, then cancel at the last minute and don’t give you one. Very poor service, totally fraud.

The rooms are small, poorly ventilated, and dim, and the washrooms need an urgent overhaul because the water clogs. The photos don’t show the real condition of the rooms. Staff are courteous, but they don’t seem to know their duties. They won’t offer to clean the room or provide basics like soap and shampoo. The menu is pathetic and the cook needs to be changed. If you’re on a budget and don’t expect much service, it may be a good hotel. But avoid this place.

OYO doesn’t keep property owners consistently updated about whether a place is open or closed. They also don’t offer the option to send my full refund to OYO money so I could use it for a new, immediate booking. The owner charged me more than the amount OYO had quoted, and OYO room quality has fallen well below average. My stay wasn’t that great.
