The room door lock didn’t work, and when I asked to move, they said there were no rooms available, which didn’t seem true. I was alone and felt unsafe and stuck. I had official meetings starting in about 10 minutes, so I stayed for the back-to-back meetings, but I checked out early the next morning. They then said I still had to pay for the water bottle, even though I’d already paid. I’d made a mistake booking here, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone, especially a woman. Please clean the rooms, do pest control, and train the staff. That’s the bare minimum. The first room I was shown smelled strongly, so I asked for another. I agreed to that room on the condition they cleaned the bathroom, which had clearly been used and wasn’t clean. They never brought the electric kettle I asked for, there was no hot water, the linen was dirty, the bed didn’t feel fresh, and I found bed bugs and cockroaches. There was also a strange smell. After check-in, staff said they’d sort it out shortly, but nothing happened. Wi-Fi was included, but the receptionist couldn’t remember the password. I waited politely while he tried to recall it, then he gave me another one. My phone took about 5-7 seconds to connect, and during the failed attempts he rudely said, “aapka phone kharab he phir”. Once it connected, I politely said he should show some restraint, but he never apologized. I’d ordered tea and water. The delivery boy insisted I pay immediately, though I said I’d pay at checkout. When I offered UPI, he gave me his personal number and said he’d enter it in the register and pay cash at the counter. He asked for “100 dedo”. When I asked for a bill, he said, “30 ki water bottle, 20 ki chai, baaki mujhey bhi dogey”. I’m happy to tip when I choose and like the service, but this felt like forced entitlement. I felt intimidated and paid just to get him out of the room without an argument.

I reached the hotel in the morning after traveling from Ahmedabad and was told at reception that it was full and there was no room for me. Why had Make my trip confirmed it? I’d booked and paid 10-12 days earlier, then called the manager and sent him the booking details. He confirmed it but said breakfast couldn’t be included at that price, even though the Make my trip listing said it was. I agreed to the price without breakfast, but was still turned away. I suffered a lot that morning. Please don’t book this hotel through Make my trip, Goibibo, directly, or any other third-party app. I’d ask everyone not to book here in future.

At ₹800/day, it’s a good stay option, though I didn’t feel it was value for money overall. The front desk managers were helpful, but the staff were arrogant. Raj hotel could improve or fix the room switches and bathroom fittings.

The washroom ceiling leaks, and there were more cockroaches in one place than I’ve ever seen. They don’t even change the sheets.
