Hotel Pearl by OYO

We stayed for about 20 days around May and June. The rooms are tiny, though the bed is a good size. The room phone worked only now and then, and whenever we needed something we had to go down to reception, often twice. It felt like staff just didn't care about us, maybe because we're from the south or don't look like millionaires. The room lighting was really nice, and the air conditioning worked perfectly.

A good choice for families, with nice rooms and well-mannered staff. Just check the price terms before you arrive: if your booking has a low tariff, the hotel may charge extra for AC. The hotel or OYO should tell guests about that before check-in.

My complaint is about check-in, not the hotel itself. I had a booking for 23rd April, but the manager refused to let me check in because it was a low-tariff booking and demanded another Rs 200. I was moved to a different hotel called Urban tree, about 500 meters away. If you can't manage bookings through OYO or Goibibo, unlink from them and run your business directly. People travel from far away and shouldn't be harassed over a small amount or made to listen to excuses about emails sent to OYO. If OYO offered the discount, that's not the guest's fault. I asked OYO to escalate this and take action. Keep treating guests this way and you'll end up with negative reviews and no bookings. Offline business alone won't be enough.

A handy budget place for a long layover at IGI Airport, about 20 minutes away by cab. Reception is open 24 hours, and there's an open kitchen. The staff were friendly and helpful.
