Kelvish Hotel

The room smelled awful, and the bathroom was dirty, with no proper shower and no hot water. We skipped both breakfast and dinner because the dining room was so dirty. The hotel was noisy, and the surrounding area looked unsafe. The room also looked nothing like the pictures, and the bed linen and pillows were very dirty. We booked through Booking.com, and the photos and comments there had seemed accurate. We later got a message from Booking.com saying the reservation was cancelled, but we stayed anyway. It seemed to us they were trying to avoid paying Booking.com fees. They also overcharged us for the airport taxi by 100 INR. The amount wasn’t much, but it was the principle. Choose somewhere else.

The manager was helpful, and the hotel isn’t far from the airport. My room was clean, but the sheets and towels had a lot of stains and hairs. Breakfast was very limited and not good, and the roadside rooms are noisy.

Everything was filthy, even with what looked like vomit marks on the walls. The towels smelled okay but looked dirty, and the sheets were badly stained. I only wanted to shower and get a few hours of sleep, but all the disgusting conditions made that impossible.

The bed was really hard, the air con didn’t work, and there wasn’t any toilet paper. My room clearly hadn’t been cleaned: the bed linen had lint and curly black body hair. Behind the bed, unfortunately, I found 20 bedbugs, along with cockroaches running around. I wouldn’t recommend this place unless you’re paying only 1000 rupiah per night.
