Hotel The Spot

The staff were nice, and the chai next door is delicious if you do stay. But the room was loud, unclean, and had no bedsheets. It smelled, the windows wouldn't shut, and the AC was switched off remotely around midnight. There was no hot water, and the power went off in the middle of the night. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

We booked a very cheap room as a stopover on the way to the airport, and it did the job for that. The older gentleman working there was pleasant. As a couple I felt safe, though I wouldn't have felt safe staying here alone as a woman. The room was bare bones, with a boarded-up window and things broken or barely working. They said there was no hot water, but gave us some after we complained. The hotel's Booking.com listing and Google Maps details didn't match. The Booking.com name was different, and they sent us a WhatsApp photo of a business card showing the hotel's actual name. It seemed like they were trying to hide that name because it had very bad reviews.

The bathrooms smelled very bad, the toilet flush didn't work, and there was no hot water. We had an early flight, so we told the hotel in advance that we needed hot water by 6 A.M. None of our rooms had any in the morning. Staff said they'd started the boiler and it would take 10 minutes, but even at 7 A.M. there was no hot water from the taps. After a lot of arguing, we finally got it at 10:00 A.M. Please avoid this worst, worst, worst hotel. Thanks.

We'd prepaid, so we were stuck staying there. The TV didn't work, the doors were broken, the room was dirty and smelled terrible, and the room photos online looked nothing like what we found. The service and the whole experience were disgusting and devastating. They change the name online to “PG International.” I felt the hotel was fake and that customers were being harassed.
