Hotel Urban Tree

The hot water worked, and having food available 24/7 from the next door restaurant was handy. The rotis and masala paneer were good. But finding the hotel was hard even with GPS. The final road is narrow, and there’s NO parking space as they claimed. It’s just a tiny cellar with a steep incline, barely room for one car, as the photos show. We had two rooms, and one toilet flush didn’t work. Some blankets were clean but quite old and not all in good condition. For a family, it may be better to spend a little more, 2k + per room, and stay in a nicer area.

The complimentary airport drop was the one good thing, though at first they tried to charge extra for it. On the other hand, I was billed for two extra bottles of water despite drinking only five in five days. The meals were a waste of prepayment. They advertise a ₹250 buffet at reception, but there is no buffet, only room service with strict limits. You get exactly one item, such as one plate of Poori Bhaji. I skipped breakfast one day, but they wouldn’t give me two plates the next day and asked for extra payment. Their “Non-Veg Thali” was just a Veg Thali with two tiny pieces of chicken. I stayed five days and housekeeping never came once. They provided only soap and shampoo, no dental kits. My room was average, but the bathroom had a structural pillar directly in front of the commode, making it impossible to sit straight. I arrived at 4:00 AM after paying in full on MakeMyTrip, but they charged an extra ₹1,000 for a few hours and didn’t include breakfast that morning. At 11:00 AM, I was made to change rooms because a “large group” was arriving. It felt like they valued bulk bookings over individual guests. When I asked for an iron, staff refused, saying, “it’s not a good iron and your clothes might get spoiled.” That felt like a lazy excuse to avoid a basic hotel amenity. Don’t trust the listed amenities either, what the booking sites show isn’t what you get.

I had a really pleasant two-day stay at Hotel Urban Tree. Staff are around 24/7 and just a call away. They were friendly and helped me with a late check-in. I’d definitely suggest it if you need a hotel near IGI airport.

I paid for my stay but the service was horrible, and I absolutely hate the staff there. They treated Thai women in a humiliating and discriminatory way, looking down on them as prostitutes. They even took my phone and wrote a review without my permission. When I asked to speak to the owner, they just said, “If you’re not satisfied, then leave.”
