Guests were making a lot of noise at midnight, walking around and knocking on random doors, and the staff did nothing to stop it. Breakfast came in plastic cups and bowls because they said they'd run out of crockery. Staff also resisted whenever we asked for fresh water bottles and towels. We spent four nights here, and after one night in a room with clearly dirty sheets and towels, I complained and was moved to another one. Service and hospitality were poor, the rooms dirty, and the lifts malfunctioned. It's close to the airport, but the area didn't seem very safe for women travellers. The website photos of the rooms and hotel were very misleading. It felt quite unsafe, was the worst experience ever, and I wouldn't recommend staying here.

The breakfast was delicious, and the location made it easy to explore. Our room was spotless and comfortable, with beds that made for a great night's sleep. The staff were so welcoming and helpful that our friends felt special, and the whole stay had a home away from home feel.

The room was freezing, and when I asked the receptionist for a heater or blower, he first refused. He claimed the police had banned heaters in Mahipalpur, then brought one about five minutes later. I would've been fine with an honest answer that none was available, but trying to fool customers was not okay. The geyser leaked and didn't work, and the toilet seat was broken. I had booked a family suite and amenities on the hotel website, while MMT showed a room heater. The receptionist was very rude and didn't know how to speak to customers. Worst experience ever. Customers aren't fools.

The airport pickup and return sign in the lobby was misleading. I called from the airport and was told to call a cab, then asked at the front desk about a return and was simply pointed outside to get a cab. Check-in was another mess. They couldn't find our reservation even after we showed the confirmation. The woman at the desk took my phone and began dialing numbers on it, so I loudly said no and took it back because it had private material. Nobody explained what the issue was. My wife spotted our names in their ledger while reading it upside down, and that solved the problem. The staff were rude, grabbed my phone, and tried dialing from it. The photos on the website are very misleading. Our room was dingy and dirty, the bathroom tiny, and the coverlet stained. The shower area is so close to the toilet that even bathing with water from a bucket gets the toilet wet, leaving you to wipe the toilet and floor with one of only two towels. The elevator doors also stuck: on the way up, they opened only about half a foot until the person showing us the room pushed them the rest of the way. We won't use the elevators. After three weeks in India and stays at six hotels or havelis, this was the worst, even worse than a pseudo-backpacking Haveli that cost only 40% as much. I don't know how this place averages four stars. One word for it: dismal.

The review text reads like a set of points to highlight rather than a personal account of a stay. It calls out exceptional staff, spotless rooms, comfort from great beds and quiet, a good location, and delicious food. It also suggests mentioning small drawbacks, like firm pillows, to sound authentic, and says to explain what made the stay memorable, such as a surprising upgrade or handy free Wi-Fi.
