Moody Moon by OYO Rooms

There isn’t a single window in the whole building, so there’s no ventilation anywhere. The building is new, with a property dealer on the first floor, a gym on the second, and OYO on the third. Long stays just aren’t possible here. We ordered tea from Chaayos at 11pm, then found the gym owner had locked the main gate from outside and we were stuck inside. There was no way out, even if someone had a medical emergency.

Not a good place for a family or an overnight stay. The main door had no key, the washroom wouldn’t lock, and the TV didn’t work. The wardrobe doors were hanging off, and there was no AC remote, among other issues.

I got to Delhi around midnight after booking through the MMT app, and nobody answered when I called reception. I reached the hotel at 11pm and found the receptionist’s number on a pillar beside it. That guy was such an a$$#@le. He wouldn’t let me in because he was asleep and too lazy to open the door. I kept calling, but nobody picked up. I asked OYO for help too. The person there said my booking was through MMT, but that they’d try moving me to the nearest hotel. Every nearby OYO was either no longer with OYO but still had the OYO sign, or had a receptionist who wasn’t up. All the 24x7 OYO places in the area were literally shut, and nobody responded, no matter how much I tried. After all that, I’m writing this in the hope someone reads it. Don’t choose a cheap OYO hotel, and please avoid this one at any cost.

I booked through the OYO app, but when I arrived they refused to give me a room. After a long discussion, I called OYO customer care to ask for my money back or to be moved to another hotel, but I couldn’t reach them. I still haven’t got my money. That’s OYO service for you.
