The location is central, so it’s easy to get around the city, and the price was reasonable at about 1500 a night. I’d told OYO I’d arrive at 10:30, but getting an early check-in still took a heated discussion before they allowed it. The room had lipstick marks on the wall, dirty sheets and blankets, a dirty toilet bowl that I had to reprimand staff about, and soiled towels. When I asked for an extra towel, they said the dhobi had an accident and wasn’t in that day. They also ran out of toilet paper and said someone had gone to buy more, but there still wasn’t any the next day. Breakfast was a miserly tomato sandwich with tea. Just outside the room was an open kitchen using non-commercial gas for cooking, which is against the law. Some staff were rude too.

The kitchen looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in ages, and the cook and other staff smelled like they hadn’t bathed in years. When I brought it up, the staff started misbehaving. They also charged Rs. 50 for each Bisleri water bottle. The staff were arrogant, and this was the worst stay of my life. Staying here feels like torture. Guys, be aware, you’ll definitely find better options.

We had to share one towel between two adults, since they couldn’t provide another bath towel and said the dhobi hadn’t come back. The room was tiny for the price, with no kettle or tea bags. At night the maids were talking loudly and making noise. I told reception, but they did nothing. Wouldn’t recommend this place.

When I arrived at 1:00pm, there was dirty laundry and dishes in the reception area. After getting past the mess, I was greeted by a lady in a nightdress with conditioner still in her hair. She then told me they were refusing to give me a room because I’d booked online. This doesn’t feel like a proper hotel, just a couple of people trying to run one. Avoid it at all costs, you can get a much better deal.

The rooms were spacious, the road view was nice, and the service was very friendly. The reception team deserves real applause. Breakfast was decent, and they truly did their best with all our requests. It’s affordable in the heart of the city, with easy transport to all the important places.
