OYO Flagship 589 Dwarka

The room was filthy, and after seeing the condition I was extremely disappointed with OYO standards. Food was stuck to the walls, including what looked like noodles, the floor was dirty, and the bathroom was so bad that public washrooms are better. There was hair all over the bathroom floor, which was wet and dirty, and the room floor had hair and mud on it. Nobody could walk barefoot there. I asked for a room change and was shown two more rooms, both just as dirty. I chose the least dirty one and asked them to clean it and the washroom. The staff replied, “abhi to safai ki hai dobara nahi hogi,” meaning they had already cleaned and wouldn't clean again. At reception, I had left a clear folder with my personal things on the desk while waiting for the lift. Mr sudarshan, the property manager, brought it to me, but I caught him reading the contents on the first page. I told him that going through a guest's personal things was intrusive and unprofessional. He was arrogant and didn't say a word, let alone apologize. He just turned his back and walked away. It's better to sleep on the footpath than stay here.

Ceramic glass chips were stuck to the parathas we ordered for breakfast. We checked the foil and the other parathas and found chips there too. When we looked in the kitchen, they were cooking directly on an induction stove without a tawa. A staff member said they had requested new utensils but hadn't received them yet. Some people staying with us had already eaten some of the food, and one was hospitalized. We stayed two days for a friend's wedding. The booking was made by the friend, but the basic facilities were still poor: the rooms were cramped, there was no proper exhaust system, and the AC and geysers didn't work properly. They changed our room after we complained, but the AC in that room wasn't working right either. Towels weren't available until we asked, and we also had a water issue in the evening. The washrooms were no better than public toilets. This is supposedly an OYO flagship property, but staying here was a huge mistake. The negligence and complacency were awful. Worst experience I've ever had. They don't deserve even one star.

The photos on the OYO site were fake, and this was the worst hotel I've ever seen. The room had a musty smell, there was no hot water in the bathroom, and the staff didn't seem to have proper information about in-house guests. A waste of money, and I never expected this from OYO. We booked two rooms for one night and wanted late checkout for just one. The receptionist agreed to the charge, then called after we had left the hotel and said late checkout would be charged for both rooms. We checked out of the second room as planned. She also said she'd keep our luggage safely at reception with all our belongings, but she left my clothes in the bathroom and stored the bags without collecting everything. My clothes are still there. I strongly wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. No value for money.

Parking was available, and the room had a TV, AC, bathroom, and double bed. There was no soap in the bathroom, and breakfast was just okay. I hadn't brought a toothbrush or toothpaste, so I bought them there. They charged Rs.50 for a Rs.5 Colgate and a Rs.10 toothbrush.
