Red Maple Bed and Breakfast

The staff were kind and fulfilled our requests when we asked, and I slept very well. Still, after a week here, we won’t stay again. We’d ended up here because our original Green Park booking was unfortunately cancelled. We were mostly in Dehli to shop and just needed a comfortable place to sleep, which this wasn’t. The rooms are dated, smell stale, and have no soundproofing. Every day we were woken by people in the street shouting and playing music. There’s no bathroom ventilation, and the shower handle broke, so I had to fix it daily while showering. Hot water lasted only 7 or 8 minutes at most, which was really annoying with two people needing showers. The rooms were quite cold, though a heater was provided. The blinds didn’t work, so there was no natural light. The electrics were dodgy. When my sister tried plugging her phone charger into one of the main sockets, she got a shock and a small burn on her finger. For three days, I had to keep asking for water bottles and fresh towels. I expected those to be checked and replenished during housekeeping after the first day, but they weren’t. Breakfast was included, but we didn’t eat it, so I can’t comment on it. The choice seemed fairly limited, with paratha, macaroni, and a veg sandwich.

Some of our guests arrived very late because of flight delays, but they were checked in without hassle. Mr. Rawat coordinated the bookings for our wedding and helped us choose rooms for family and friends staying at Red Maple. The rooms were clean, decently maintained, and matched the online photos, and the staff were courteous. A simple breakfast was included in the booking package. The property is tucked into a residential area and might be a bit hard for people from outside Delhi to find. I’d definitely recommend Red Maple for a comfortable stay in South Delhi.

About 10 years ago I stayed here twice, and I’m glad to say the warm hospitality, attention to detail, and excellent service are still just as good. That kind of consistency says a lot about their commitment to carrying on a strong legacy in hospitality. On my recent stay at this charming Bed & Breakfast homestay, the manager, cook, and attendant all went above and beyond to make things comfortable and memorable. The rooms were spotless, cozy, and well appointed. The food was delicious, with plenty of options for different tastes, and the cook’s skills deserve praise. The whole team was warm, always ready to help or offer useful tips, and made me feel at home. The locality is very friendly, with amenities close by and excellent connections by metro, rickshaw, or Uber, making the city easy to explore. I highly recommend this homestay to future travelers, especially women, as it is safe. Warm hospitality, tasty food, and a convenient location make it feel like a home away from home.
