The only good thing about this hotel was its proximity to the airport. That convenience came at the cost of comfort, cleanliness, and basic hospitality. Breakfast was also awful, oily, stale-tasting, and below basic standards. At these prices, that quality is unacceptable. We booked a premium room with an extra bed to rest for one night before a flight, but the room and service fell far below basic expectations. We checked in around 10 PM, then spent two hours dealing with problems, changing rooms, and moving luggage instead of resting. The ground staff were comparatively helpful, but reception was indifferent and hardly responded despite repeated complaints. There were no windows, the TV didn't work, and none of the rooms had ceiling fans. In peak summer heat, the central AC was locked around 26-27°C and barely worked. Instead of fixing it, staff gave us a standing fan and kept saying, “Don’t worry, the AC will start working, it’s centrally load-managed.” We paid a premium and were left trying to sleep in extreme heat with one standing fan. The sheets and carpets were dirty, the extra bed was outdated and uncomfortable, and the property was poorly maintained overall. Highly overpriced and absolutely not worth the amount charged.

The food was genuinely good, probably the only real highlight of the stay. Otherwise, service was slow and disappointing, with inattentive staff and poor responsiveness. For the price, it didn't meet expectations. The property feels outdated and poorly maintained, and the small rooms felt cramped. Things didn't seem fresh or properly cared for. There was a TV in the room, but it didn't work, which is a basic hospitality issue. I wouldn't recommend staying unless maintenance and service improve substantially.

There was no working TV, and the rooms have no windows, so it felt like living in a box. The breakfast was bland, with little variety or quality. The place was noisy and packed with people, which made it hard to unwind. Inside, worn furniture, torn sofas, broken door handles, dirty carpets, rusty sink taps, damaged bathroom fittings, and broken tiles all made the hotel feel neglected. I had a very disappointing stay and wouldn't recommend it. It wasn't worth the price or hassle, so read the reviews carefully before booking.

I reached the hotel at 1 AM with a confirmed reservation, but staff refused to give me a room. They said a cancellation message had been sent at 6 PM, though I never received one. When I pointed out that it was already 1 AM, they told me it was my problem. After I insisted, they eventually gave me a written letter saying no room was available. I left the premises around 2 AM with my luggage. I can't understand how they thought it was okay to send a customer away at that hour. The staff seemed to lack basic training in handling someone's situation with care. It was a nightmare, and I wouldn't recommend this place. I'm also surprised Sarovar Portico staff behaved this way.

For a short transit stay or an official visit, the main advantage of Taurus Sarovar Portico is its access to Indira Gandhi International Airport from IGI Airport Road in Mahipalpur, New Delhi. It's a 4-star hotel with rooms, Wi-Fi, air-conditioning, a restaurant, and banquet and meeting facilities. Guests appreciate the airport location, though feedback is mixed, with concerns about upkeep, cleanliness, and service being inconsistent. Some also feel the price doesn't quite match the experience. It may suit a short stay when airport access is the main priority.
