The BMK Hotel

Watch out for the uneven platform along the wall by the ramp when parking. From inside the car you can't see it below, and it has scratched a lot of cars. Bring someone along to help guide you in.

The rooms feel dated, and their interiors are dull. There was no hot water, and they don't even provide drinking water unless you pay an inflated rate of 50 rs per litre. I didn't like the service or hospitality. I'd tell people to spend their money at another hotel.

The rooms had a somewhat classy, calming feel, but they smelled odd and the corridors were filthy. Service was very poor. Outside food wasn't allowed, and the food was expensive. Torn bedsheets, misplaced lights, switches that didn't work properly, and a TV with barely any channels added to the problems. The AC was old, like something from the 2000s, and didn't cool at all. Parking is hard, with room for only two cars. They don't answer calls or keep the working mobile phones updated. For the price, it wasn't worth it.

The room was clean enough at a glance, but the cockroaches in the washroom and the bad smell from the almirah were hard to overlook. It also felt dated and cramped, and noise from the room opposite carried through easily. At night, their door opening and closing kept making my door shift from the pressure, which was disruptive. Check-in at BMK Hotel was easy, and it’s conveniently visible from the roadside. The food was affordable, though breakfast choices were sparse. There’s a parking lot outside, which is handy if you’re driving. The location and price have potential, but the upkeep and comfort need work, especially a proper renovation and better attention to hygiene.
