The Leena International - New Delhi

Hotel Leena made a difficult situation much easier when we got stuck during the war in Iran and all flights were cancelled. The very friendly manager Gaurav helped us as much as he could and even found us a ticket to Europe, which seemed almost impossible at the time. For a pleasant stay in Delhi, I found it important to have a clean hotel in the right area, with comfortable beds and friendly people who care. This place has that. It’s about 45 minutes from the airport by taxi, and a good base for seeing Delhi’s many beautiful sights, roughly 25 minutes away by tuktuk. The rooms are nice and clean, with hot water and wifi, and the price for what you get is excellent. One small thing: sometimes the coffee came with the milk in the glass, even though we asked for it separately. Still, I strongly recommend Hotel Leena international for a beautiful, heartfelt stay.

Our train was delayed, so we reached Leena International quite late, but the staff were understanding and supportive since we already had a booking. They let us freshen up before we had to head to Pushkar, which was a big help. We also had a very tasty lunch there. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the service made the stopover smooth and pleasant. A good, convenient place to stay when you need a bit of support.

Breakfast became another problem when four of us went down and were refused service because it was supposedly only included for two, even though we had booked and paid a rate three times higher than usual. We’re now dealing with a payment dispute because the hotel won’t take responsibility. The room was filthy: a brown toilet, dirty towels, a broken showerhead with a large hole, and no proper shower divider, so the whole bathroom got soaked. The door wouldn’t lock properly either. We handed over our key for room service, but nobody cleaned the room all day. Staff hung around laughing outside our door, and the manager was rude and dismissive when we tried to talk to him. From start to finish, this was one of our worst hotel stays. Avoid it.

The main road location is a big reason I keep returning to Leena Hotel. The rooms are comfortable and good, and the food is consistently great. Receptionist Gaurav deserves special thanks for accommodating my requests every time I’ve visited. Highly recommended as one of the best places to stay in Paharganj.
