The Prime Delhi

The rooms were small and weren't ready at check-in. The AC didn't work, so we had to move rooms, and the TV never worked. Every time we went out and came back, the room card failed. I wasn't told when booking that water wasn't free, and they charged three times the normal price for a bottle. The receptionist and manager were very unprofessional. They seemed more interested in collecting payment upfront than giving proper service. The whole stay was uncomfortable and frustrating. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

The neighborhood has just about anything you might need, and the location worked well for me. This isn't a luxury hotel by most standards, but it's quite comfortable for India, cleaner than average and very quiet. The staff were friendly and attentive without being overbearing, which was refreshing. You can find cheaper, more comfortable places too. I'd skip the spa. I overheard an Indian woman loudly call it the worst experience ever. That feels like a meme anyway. For the price, the rest was pretty tolerable overall.

This was our fourth time booking here, and we reserved a room for one night. When we arrived, they said there wasn't a room available and offered us a bed at their other hotel, about a 10-minute drive away. That hotel wasn't equivalent to the one we'd booked.

The rooms were clean, and the hotel is close to New Delhi Railway station and CP. But there was no ventilation in the rooms or even the washrooms. The breakfast buffet had very little choice, and the staff weren't rude, just very ignorant. The food tasted okay, but cost about four times what you'd expect at hotels like this. They also had hidden charges that only came up when it was time to pay. There are plenty of other issues too, though those can still be ignored.
