Hotel Mahadev Palace

The staff kindly waited without charging for a late checkout when one guest was delayed at Darshan. Of the three rooms, I checked out on time, while the guest in another room waited outside for the third room's guests to return. That was the one positive part of a stay that otherwise left me saying I cannot recommend this hotel for anyone seeking a Premium stay. I stayed from 8th November to 9th November 2025, after booking a Premium Room through Cleartrip on an MAP plan. The AC kept switching off, so my sleep was very disturbed and I had to turn it back on at intervals. The room hardly felt Premium: it had a kettle and bottle of water, a worn towel, soap, and shampoo gel, but no tea or coffee sachets. No welcome drink was served to me, though guests who booked directly at the counter received one. The taps had their mesh guards removed, and even a small turn sent water splashing enough to wet clothes. The commode was painted white and looked cheap. There was a balcony, but the outdoor part of the split AC occupied it, leaving no room even to stand for a bit. Food was extremely expensive, while a restaurant just across the road offered good food at a fair price and taste. Room rent and meal prices are exceptionally high, and in my view they do not earn the hotel Premium status. My definition of Premium changed after this stay. Others can decide based on their own preferences, but for my experience, the hotel does not deserve even one star.

The restaurant is okay, but the hotel needs renovation. The lobby gets very cold in winter, and carpets should be added on all floors.

The hotel is neat and clean, though the bathroom fittings need upgrading and the linens could be better quality.
